Pat Cummins Set To Play In MLC

In a major update, the Australian skipper Pat Cummins will be joining San Francisco Unicorns in the upcoming season of the major Cricket League which will be starting right after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup in the USA and West Indies.

With Cummins now joining the MLC, he enters into the world of Franchise Cricket, Cummins recently led Sunrisers Hyderabad into the final of IPL 2024 which they lost to Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets. Cummins previously also has played in the IPL, he has also played in the BBL. The test and ODI Skipper for Australia has been on the road for some time now.

Cummins usually, doesn't play much in franchise Cricket due to hectic schedules. But with him playing in the IPL and now choosing to play MLC right after the T20 World Cup is a clue that he is thinking more about playing in leagues now. A few more Australian Members are going to join Cummins at MLC, likely to be Marcus Stoinis, Steven Smith, Glenn Maxwell, Jake Fraser Mcgurk, and Mitchell Marsh.

The second season of MLC gets going on July 5 with a doubleheader. The defending champions MI New York and Seattle Orcas will kick off the tournament in what will be a rematch of the final of the previous season in Morrisville, following which Texas Super Kings will lock horns against LA Knight Riders in a home game at the Grand Prairie Stadium in Dallas.
