Saurabh Netravalkar: The Man You Know The Journey You Don't

The T20 World Cup is in going at its full swing in the first 11 games many things have taken place. One such thing is the USA beating Pakistan at the Grand Prairie stadium in Dallas.

Coming into the game Pakistan's top order was rattled as their batters danced to the tunes of Saurabh Netravalkar.

The Beginning

Originally from Mumbai, Netravalkar started his journey playing for Mumbai in the domestic circuit. His brilliant performances with the ball earned him a place in the Indian U19 World Cup squad in 2010.

Netravalkar emerged as the highest wicket-taker for India in the U19 World Cup. Upon returning it was touted that he would fill the boots of guys like Zaheer Khan and Ashish Nehra.

He has played alongside Jaydev Unadkat and Mayank Agarwal who later got the opportunity to don the blue jersey, It's been a tough journey for Netravalkar though he kept on doing the hard grinds in the Ranji Trophy circuit till 2014.

A Move To the USA

However, due to cut-throat competition the opportunities for him always going to be barren. With very limited opportunities Netravalkar decided to shift base to the USA.

Netravalkar got the opportunity to represent the USA side in a regional tournament called the Super50 tournament.

Netravalkar is blessed with a good height and has a good amount of pace, he can generate bounce which can be discomforting for any batter, and he also can hit the ball long. Moving to the USA has been a good move for him in what has been a difficult journey for Saurabh Netravalkar.

A studious person by nature Netravalkar has done his software engineering at the Sardar Patel University, he currently works in Oracle, along with it he is also managing his Cricket.

Last night Netravalkar played a pivotal role in helping the USA win over Pakistan, defending 19 runs in a super over against the likes of big hitters Iftikhar Ahmed and Shadab Khan.

USA has won 2 games on the bounce in Group A they currently sit at the top of the points table with 4 points, USA and Netravalkar will play their next match against the country of his birth India.

Pakistan on the other hand has to play Arch-Rivals India at the Nassau County on June 9th.
