Sanju Samson -

Sanju-Samson-3

Sanju Samson could be said as one of the most unfortunate players in the cricketing industry as his position was dominated by others and he couldn't get a chance in the Indian team. While he failed in most instances when selectors trusted him and retained him in the team. His performance was very meager which broke the trust of the management, except in a few cases (when he made 61 runs in just 31 balls against GT and, an electrifying knock against West Indies and Ireland in T20I).

Although he is a very good player and once he was looked upon as the replacement of Dhoni but the rise of Rishabh Pant and KL Rahul suppressed his dream of playing in that particular position. Both Pant and Rahul have proved their worth and that’s the reason they have been retained for so long.

Recently, he scored a maiden ODI century against South Africa which showed he is the perfect match for the captain of Rajasthan Royals besides Jos Butler.

Jitesh Sharma -

Jitesh Sharma

Jitesh Sharma is one of the luckiest young players who got a chance to play in the Indian squad at such a young age. He was preferred over others as a wicket-keeper in T20I matches against Australia and Afghanistan. He played in 9 innings and scored 100 runs at a strike rate of 147.05. He always says that “ I don’t compromise strike rate for runs”.

His breakthrough was when he was 3rd highest run-getter (343 runs) in the Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament. He is currently in the Punjab Kings team of the IPL and has been assigned the task of wicket-keeper, he made his debut in 2022 and has played a total of 546 runs in 26 matches with 49 runs in 27 balls as his best score.

Ishan Kisan -

Ishan Kisan is one of the prominent players of the Mumbai Indians both as a batsman and a wicket-keeper. He is a very sound player of white-ball formats, his most-stellar performance was in 2020 when he amassed 516 runs at a strike rate of 145.76, playing a crucial role in the victory of Mumbai Indians in that season. He was last seen in the T20I series against Australia, right after the ODI World Cup 2023 in which he played 3 matches and scored 110 runs. However, he didn’t get a chance to play in WC 2023 and was being rested in the squad due to the dominant play of his colleague Shubhman Gill.

After playing the T20I series against Australia, he requested for some rest so he could take care of his physical and mental health.

Overall, Ishan Kisan can do wonders in the IPL with both bat and gloves and could be a vital component of the team’s winning.

Recently, he got a chance to showcase his skills within the Indian team against the Bazzballs in the 5 Test Match series. This young player was tasked with the job of wicket-keeping which he fulfilled aptly. He made 41 runs in the 1st innings and 28 runs in the 2nd innings, he needs to polish more on his skills to retain himself longer in India’s squad.

Talking about his IPL career, he made his debut in 2021 and in all he has played 10 matches with a total of 199 runs and a highest score of 78* runs with a strike rate of 122.09.

KS Bharat could be a boon for KKR, and his exceptional batting skills along with the coordination of the team could help KKR to land in the victory lane.

He is a very young player who belongs to the Delhi Capitals team and debuted last year in 2023. He defines his job as an all-rounder. Many teams are in contention to provide the stage to young talents so that they can replace their older generation when the time comes and be fruitful for the country.

He has played a total of 4 matches in the last IPL in which he made a total of 33 runs with the highest score of 20 runs. He needs to brush more on his skills so that the franchises can trust this young all-rounder and provide ground to prove his worth and his talent.
