The T20 World Cup caravan is in full swing, but the Pakistani team looks out of shape at the moment.
The Pakistani side was playing their first game of the World Cup, the men in green hadn't played any warmup games before the game against the USA.
After a poor performance from the Pakistani side, veteran seamer Wasim Akram was very unhappy even calling the performance of the side 'Pathetic'.
"Pakistan will have to make a lot of effort to qualify from here as they have two good teams in Canada and Ireland after the India game". he said
"The turning point of the game for me was the USA bowling, they took wickets upfront, even though Babar and Shadab laid a foundation for 72 runs but that wasn't enough, overall Pakistan looked average', he said
The Pakistani side was struggling at 30 for 3 at the end of the powerplay, it was due to 72 72-run partnership from Babar Azam and Shadab Khan that Pakistan reached to a total of respectability.

Akram states losing early wickets and not building partnerships was the turning point of the game.

While playing against the USA I was very confident and as well as the fans were very confident that Pakistan would win the game after the way they played in the first innings.
"In the second innings USA came out chasing, chasing 19 runs in the super over is equal to 36 runs so well done to USA," he said.
Wasim Akram heaped praises on USA skipper Monank Patel,
"The moment of the day for me was the innings from the USA skipper, carried his bat well done", he said
"The way he led the team was also great to watch, the fielding from the USA side was spot on", Akram added
Pakistan will face arch-rivals India on June 9th at the Nassau County in New York, potentially a virtual knockout game for Pakistan. They play Canada at the very same venue on 11th June before moving to Florida to play against Ireland.
