MI traded Hardik Pandya from GT and promised him the post of captain but this decision might not have a good impact on the fans. Ever since they dropped him there has been a huge shift in followers, millions of MI fans have unfollowed them on social media as they accepted Rohit Sharma from the core of their hearts and currently, they cannot digest the fact that he has been dropped as he was the player who led MI from 2011 to 2023 and who led the team to record five IPL triumphs (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, and 2020).

More than 1M unfollowed them on Instagram, 2.4M on Meta, 791K on X (formerly Twitter) and 236K on YouTube. Fans are outraged and can't keep cool and the only way they are showing their displeasure is through creating a storm of unfollowing MI on different social media platforms. Currently, CSK has the most no. of followers on social media.

The trade window has been reopened till 20th December and closes in February 2024 one month before the mega tournament, according to the latest report, and the fans are suspicious that Rohit Sharma might join another franchise. With a mini auction approaching, all 10 teams will have a last chance to shape their squad for the upcoming 17th season of IPL.

Messi has updated the page of Inter Miami with an additional 11M followers on Instagram, +1.4M on Meta, +346K on X (formerly Twitter), and +225K on YouTube for them. Cristiano is the man with the highest fan following on this earth and no one is even close to him in terms of social media followers. He currently has 615M followers on Instagram and his arch-rival Messi is with 495M, you can see such a huge difference between just 1st and 2nd positions. He left his previous club Manchester United and joined Al Nassr on December 31, 2022, on a two-year contract, paying the Portuguese player €200 million per year. After his shift in Al Nassr, the club has gained 1.36M followers on Meta, +562K on X 9formerly Twitter, and +435K on Youtube.
