The Australian Cricket Awards ceremony for 2024 was the award given to Marsh and Gardner. Marsh then received the prestigious Allan Border Medal as this was only the second time in history that a player had won it being an all-rounder and none since Shane Watson back in 201. While Gardner clinched her second general Belinda Clark Award.

He got emotional in his acceptance speech and he mentions to thank his wife, Greta, captain Pat Cummins, and coach Andrew McDonald.

Marsh said that I am chubby sometimes and I like beer, but you can see the best in me at all the times and changed my life,” it sounded. Patty, from now on playing under you is a dream because of your support and leadership.

While Gardner clinched her second general Belinda Clark Award. Marsh polled 223 votes, which was a gap of 79 on the second placer Pat Cummins’ who also had an incredible year. Gardner secured 147 votes and defeated Ellyse Perry with a vote of 134 results and Annabel Sutherland received a vote of 106.

Marsh stated, “I told my wife frequently that I just needed one more shot at it and it has been incredible.” He had to collect himself. She gave me the life view I so badly needed.

Gardner concluded, "It has been an eventful year". Several people might think I’m more of a batter or batting all-rounder whereas, in the past 12 to 24 months, my bowling has improved faster than I would have thought. Getting faith from the captain and thus trust that he will bring me on at different times but has been rewarded with wickets were certainly special.

Marsh had an outstanding year overall, beginning with his 118 in the third Ashes Test following his absence from the previous two, and culminating in an ODI World Cup career-high 177* against Bangladesh. Gardner picked more wickets than any of her colleagues throughout the qualifying period with her numbers against England being 12 for 165, the second-best in women's Test history.

Marsh won the Men’s ODI Player of the Year award, having thrived as an opener and a middle-order batter in white-ball formats. Jason Behrendorff bagged the Men’s T20I Player of the Year.
