Nitish Reddy has been ruled out of India's squad from the ongoing 5-match T20I series against England the Board of Control For Cricket In India (BCCI) announced. It is understood that Nitish Reddy suffered a side strain while training for the second T20I in Chepauk on Friday. Reddy will now to the BCCI Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru for treatment.

Meanwhile, Rinku Singh suffered a lower spasm while fielding in the first T20I against England at Eden Gardens, Kolkata. Rinku is set to miss the 2nd and the 3rd T20I of the 5-match series. The BCCI medical team is closely monitoring the extent of Rinku's injury. The selectors have included All Rounders- Shivam Dube & Ramandeep Singh for the remainder of the series.
While Ramandeep was present in India's T20I for their most recent series in South Africa, Dube hasn't played for the national team since August 2024. He missed the home series against Bangladesh with a back injury but has recovered in time to feature in the domestic season for Mumbai. Team India has taken a 2-0 series lead after beating England in the 2nd T20I in Chennai by 2 wickets.
