Pakistani Great Sides With Vaughan: IPL More Important Than Playing Pakistan?

Neha . May 30, 2024

In response to Michael Vaughan's statement that "playing against Pakistan is better than the IPL," former Pakistan cricket team player Kamran Akmal has stated his agreement. Vaughan made the remark in relation to Pakistan and England's current Twenty20 International series.

As the IPL would have been superior preparation for the impending T20 World Cup, he thought the England Cricket Board (ECB) should have let its players participate in it rather than having them return for the Pakistan series.

"I've been wondering for the past few days why a former England captain is making comments and treating Pakistani cricket with such indifference. Though it's been difficult to consider, I believe he was right in his judgment," Akmal posted on his YouTube account.

Kamran Akmal Stated:

"Everyone is aware of Pakistan cricket's caliber. Given that we are losing to weaker teams like Ireland, Vaughan claimed that the series is not very difficult. We are therefore to blame. Vaughan would not have said it if it had been any other side, such as New Zealand, South Africa, or India," he said.

"We must realize that the top hitters and bowlers compete in the Indian Premier League in front of audiences ranging from forty to fifty thousand. Consequently, it's challenging and excellent cricket," he said.

"While Pakistani cricket may require a makeover, this also offers a chance for improvement. What is our response to Vaughan's criticism? by putting up a show in the next Twenty20 series versus England. In order to avoid even teams like the USA starting to view us as an easy target, let's utilize this as a spark to reclaim our competitiveness and confidence.

"All of this is the result of the Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board upsetting the system to no end. As of right now, it's unclear if the Pakistani cricket team would adapt to the circumstances or continue to play in the same zone as they have up until now," he said.
