Ex-Pakistan Star Throws Shade: ICC Rigging T20 World Cup for India-Pakistan Clash?

For more than ten years, India and Pakistan have not participated in any kind of bilateral series. India-Pakistan cricket matches are perhaps the most anticipated matchups in the world of cricket because the two nations only play one other at ICC and ACC competitions. On June 9, 2024, India and Pakistan will play each other in a group match in the ICC T20 World Cup. The ICC wants India and Pakistan to play each other twice in the tournament, according to a major assertion made by former Pakistani batter Basit Ali ahead of the highly awaited match.

Basit stated:

"India and Pakistan should play two games each at the World Cup, according to the ICC. In order for the two teams to play each other again in the semifinal or championship, a schedule has been created. We'll learn more about the location eventually. These days, everything is based on output. While India has participated in the IPL and appears to be in fine form, Pakistan is now on a somewhat downward trajectory.

Group A includes Canada, Ireland, and co-hosts of the T20 World Cup, the United States of America.
