It will be the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup 2023 and India is ready to host the series which will start on 5th October. Before this India hosted the World Cup along with co-hosts Pakistan (1987, 1996), Sri Lanka (1996, 2011), and Bangladesh (2011). This World Cup will be played in India in 12 different venues where 10 venues will be hosting the main event and set for only Warm-Up games. This time a total of 10 teams are participating in this series of World Cup 2023 ( India, Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Netherlands, Afghanistan, and Pakistan). The first match will be played between England and New Zealand in the biggest stadium in India i.e. Narendra Modi Stadium. The upcoming matches of World Cup 2023 will be played in a Round-Robin format where each team will contest against every other team. India is set to play its first match against Australia on Sunday, 8th October, and will be looking forward to repeating the history of 1983 and 2011. The fixtures of the World Cup 2023 are decided as 48 matches will be played out of which 45 are decided and 3 matches of semi-finals and finals will be decided as the series progresses. This time it will be a cut-throat competition as every team is entering into competition with their best squad and highly skilled players, there will be no margin for error in this run. The main competition that India will face will be with Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa. Besides this, the cricket fans of India are eagerly waiting to witness the most heated rivalry match with Pakistan in the Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and it looks like their pride is at stake.
